Get to Know Us
My name is Steph, and I am a Canine Behaviour Practitioner with over a decade of hands-on experience supporting dogs and their people through a wide range of behavioural challenges.

I work primarily with dogs who struggle with reactivity, fear, anxiety, and big emotional responses to the world around them. I understand how overwhelming and isolating this can feel for owners, particularly when things don’t turn out as expected or advice feels conflicting. My role is to bring clarity, structure, and calm to what often feels like a very confusing journey.

I am currently completing my Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Canine Behaviour, alongside ongoing professional development, and I hold additional specialist qualifications as a Canine Principles Reactive Behaviour Expert and Canine Principles Nutrition and Wellness Expert. I am also a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild, which means I am committed to ethical, force-free, science-led practice and continuous learning.

Every dog and every household is different, so my work is never “one size fits all.” I create personalised, realistic training and behaviour plans that take into account the dog in front of me, the human at the other end of the lead, and the environment they live in. My aim is not quick fixes, but meaningful, lasting change that improves quality of life for both ends of the lead.

I am deeply passionate about changing how behaviour challenges are approached. Dogs communicate through behaviour, and when those behaviours are misunderstood or punished, the underlying emotional needs are often left unmet. I do not use harsh methods, intimidation, or correction-based techniques. Instead, I prioritise positive reinforcement, emotional safety, and clear communication, because trust is the foundation of real behavioural change.

I don’t consider myself a “dog whisperer.” I consider myself a dog listener. My job is to help you understand what your dog is telling you, and to guide you in responding in a way that builds confidence, security, and a stronger bond over time.
Progress does not have a deadline. There are no rigid timelines or unrealistic promises - just patient, consistent support and a clear path forward. I will support you through setbacks as well as successes, because both are part of the process.
My goal is simple: to help dogs feel safer in their world, and to help owners feel confident, informed, and supported in doing right by their dogs.
If you are looking for kind, evidence-based guidance, and someone who genuinely understands how hard this journey can be, you are in the right place.
