Our Services & Suitability

Which service is right for my dog?
The most appropriate service depends on your dog’s behaviour, emotional needs, and your own circumstances. Dogs showing fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, or other complex behaviours will usually require a behaviour assessment as a starting point. This allows the underlying causes to be identified and ensures any plan is safe, effective, and tailored to the individual dog.
For dogs who need help with specific skills or confidence building rather than behaviour concerns, 1-2-1 training or Done-For-You Dog Training may be more suitable. If you are unsure, guidance is always available to help you choose the most appropriate next step - there is no expectation to know this on your own.
What happens in a 1-2-1 session?
A 1-2-1 session is fully tailored to you and your dog. Sessions typically focus on teaching practical skills, building confidence, and improving communication in a calm, supportive way. You will be guided through exercises step by step, with clear explanations of what to do, why it works, and how to continue practising between sessions.
Sessions may take place in your home, outdoors, or in a controlled environment depending on your dog’s needs. You will leave with practical strategies you can apply immediately, along with realistic expectations for progress and ongoing support as needed.
What is Done-For-You Dog Training?
Done-For-You Dog Training is a supportive option for owners who want professional input to be more hands-on with their dog’s training while still being kept fully informed and involved.
In this service, we work directly with your dog to build skills, confidence, and positive habits in a structured and carefully managed way. This can be particularly helpful for dogs who need consistent, well-timed training input or for owners who are short on time, lack confidence, or feel overwhelmed.
You will receive regular updates, guidance, and clear instructions so you can maintain and support the progress being made. The goal is not to replace owner involvement, but to provide expert support that accelerates learning while ensuring the training remains ethical, humane, and tailored to your dog’s individual needs.
Do I need a behaviour assessment before training?
For behaviour concerns such as reactivity, fear, or aggression, a behaviour assessment is essential. This allows us to fully understand your dog, identify underlying causes, and design a safe, effective plan.
What happens in a behaviour assessment?
We will discuss your dog’s history, environment, routines, triggers, and current challenges. You will receive clear explanations, immediate management advice, and a structured plan moving forward.
Do you train the dog or the owner?
Both. Long-term success relies on owner understanding and consistency. Our role is to support you as much as your dog.
