Owner Responsibility & Ethics

How much time will I need to commit?
The level of time required depends on your dog’s needs and the type of support you are receiving. Behaviour change relies on consistency rather than intensity, and most plans are designed to fit realistically into daily life. Clear guidance will always be given so you understand what is expected and can make an informed commitment.
What happens if I can’t follow the plan exactly?
Perfection is not expected. Behaviour plans are designed to be flexible and adaptable. If something is not working for you or your dog, the plan can be adjusted. Open communication is encouraged so support can be tailored to your circumstances rather than adding pressure.
Do you train the dog or the owner?
Both. Long-term success depends on owner understanding as much as the dog’s learning. Our role is to support you in developing the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to help your dog thrive, while also working directly with your dog where appropriate.
What values guide your work?
Kindness, evidence-based practice, transparency, and respect for both dogs and owners. Welfare is never compromised for convenience or speed.
Is your service right for everyone?
Our services are best suited to owners who are open to humane, science-based approaches and realistic expectations. We may not be the right fit for those seeking quick fixes or punitive methods. Ensuring the right match benefits both dogs and owners and leads to better outcomes overall.
